All Saints Academy Athletic Boosters By-laws

 

Article 1: Name and Purpose

A)    The name of this organization shall be the All Saints Academy Athletic Association Boosters.

B)    The purpose is to promote the All Saints Academy athletic programs primarily through generating funds to meet the financial requirements which allow the students to develop their physical abilities and grow as individuals.

 

Article 2: Membership

A)    Booster board members – President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary – Voting members.  Parish Representatives/Parent representatives-non-voting members.

a.      Board members will be elected in May every year for the following school year.  Members may remain on the board for maximum of three (3) years.  Parish representatives/parent representatives will be solicited every year.

b.      The duties of the president are to work with the Athletic Director(s) to make sure the financial needs of the athletic programs are met.  Prepares agenda and conducts the monthly meetings.  

c.      The duties of the vice-president are to assist the President in his/her duties and will be present when the President cannot attend events or meetings.

d.      The duties of the treasurer are to work with school office on payment of fees, and general operating expenses.  Performs general accounting of association funds and provides monthly reports.

e.      The duties of the secretary are to record the minutes of the monthly meetings, prepares weekly/monthly updates of upcoming games/events for the Friday folders. 

f.        If a board member resigns prior to the end of their term, a replacement will be elected to finish the remaining portion of the term by a majority of vote of those present at the next scheduled monthly meeting.

 

B)    Any person who is a member of Blessed Sacrament, St. Alphonsus, St. Isidore or St. Jude parish or has a child in the school is eligible for membership.  The Athletic Director and the Principal are automatic members with no vote with the exception of the athletic director having the authority to break a tie.

 

Article 3: General By Laws

A)    Meetings will be held monthly from August through June.

B)    Budgets for each fundraising event shall be prepared and reviewed.

C)    Expenditures should be accompanied by a receipt or applicable documentation to support the expense.

D)    A majority of members in attendance may approve specific requests presented at any given meeting.
